The Business Development Managers lead the marketing vision for understanding, creating and communicating customer value. Business Development Managers work closely with the sales and marketing professionals in our locally managed business units and manage the execution of plans that will allow us to become the biggest and best Animal Nutrition Company, worldwide. Business Development Managers must be both experts and students of the customer segments with which they work, keeping abreast of rapidly changing customer requirements and a dynamic competitive environment.
The Technology Deployment Managers lead the effort to ensure timely application of tools for superior execution of competitive technology. To accomplish this, the Technology Deployment Manager must understand how to create a competitive advantage with technology and be an effective teacher of the personnel who are responsible for accomplishing and/or coaching application in the field. Key to this is maintaining an ongoing communication with the most capable people in the targeted industry, both within and outside our organization. An advanced degree in the sciences of animal production is a requirement for this role.
The Innovation Development Manager will champion the development of proprietary technologies that will enable effective and timely accomplishment of the business vision for the creation of customer value. A detailed understanding of the fundamental principles of biology and nutrition, with proven abilities in effective experimental design and a drive to see technology taken to practical application are essential. We place a strong emphasis on the use of biological models and experimentation to develop and challenge our understanding of animal nutrition and production technologies, leading to new insights into value creation for our customers.
Cargill Pork Opportunities:
Since its inception in 1971, Cargill Pork has become a major player in the pork industry. It is the nation's leader in both farrowing and nursery performance. A partner with Cargill's Animal Nutrition Division, Cargill Pork produces more than two million pigs per year through operations in Arkansas, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and North Carolina.
We are looking for candidates with bachelor's degrees in any major, with preference to degrees in:
- Animal Sciences
- Ag Business
- Ag Economics
- Related degree in the college of agriculture
Business majors with farm backgrounds will also be considered. You must have a 2.5 GPA or higher and a background or strong interest in pork production.
Field managers are hired and placed regionally. Offices are located in Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, North Carolina and Oklahoma. As you demonstrate your ability, you will become a key contributor to the management team. After a period of training, you will manage a territory of dedicated swine producers. On a daily basis, you will make significant decisions that impact your territory's business and your district's profitability.
Field managers manage a territory made up of approximately 20 contract pork producers. Through farm visits and producer meetings, you will be responsible for coaching, motivating and training your producers to maximize productivity.
