Sales Consultant
As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for interacting with customers and prospective customers helping them understand how Cargill can provide solutions for them and improve their profitability. Sales Consultants typically specialize in specific livestock production areas which include dairy, beef, swine, and retail sales to owners of companion animals.
The responsibilities of a Sales Consultant include:
- provide communication between the customer and district management
- conduct training sessions for customers
- develop new distribution
- implement promotions and advertising
- provide critical input to the District Management Team
The training will include:
- principles of nutrition
- livestock management
- product knowledge
- feed manufacturing
- providing excellent customer service
- sales consultant skills
Entry Level Positions We are looking for candidates with bachelor's degrees in any major, with preference to degrees in:
- Ag Business
- Ag Economics
- Animal Sciences
- Related degree in the college of agriculture
You must have a 2.5 GPA or higher and a strong interest in working in the agricultural community.
Experienced Positions We are looking for individuals to support existing clients and develop new ones. Knowledge in one or more areas of dairy, horse, swine, beef, or companion animals is important. You must be capable of discussing nutritional recommendations and management aspects of raising that animal specie with producers and customers.
