3 yrs ago I was given Pep Diamond Cadillac a 3 yr old roan. The day we went to pick "Viper" up he was so spooky that we ran him in the trailer to get the halter on him. We patterned the barrels for over 8 months not wanting to rush him. He was used as a ranch horse 1st by my husband & me. We have hauled very limited as far North as Albquerque & West as Las Cruces & as far East as Waco TX. I realize he is still needs to be seasoned but for being an unseasoned horse he runs to & around his 1st barrel with so much power/momentum, he either lacks the experience of a seasoned horse to get around 2nd & 3rd with the same power/momentum or he lacks the stamina. On the recommendation I began feeding XTN & Empower in hopes of giving us that 2.5 second edge that is keeping us out of the 1D.

I was asked by my vet to take in a mare, Cloud, that had been foundered and needed a lot of care and rest. She was brought to our farm in 2005 and has been with us all of this time. Initially, she could barely walk and at times would get stiff and her legs would just lock up. We started her on a program of weight managment using Safechoice, hay, and routine trims. It is now 5 years later and Cloud is doing great!! She has now gone over one year without any significant pain, her hooves are in good shape and we see her running, trotting, going up and down hills and being an important part of a herd. I truly believe that Safechoice played a major role in saving Cloud, giving her good nutients while she lost her excess weight. Thank you making this great feed.

I use the Life Design Mare & Foal feed for my 1/2 miniature horse 1/2 donkey, mini hinny! He was a late foal - End of October, and really needed the extra boost this feed gave him to survive the cold Michigan winter! Both mare & foal have benifited greatly from Life Design. They came through winter better than when the went in. Thanks Nutrena! Andi Triple A Ranch

I have been feeding Nutrena SafeChoice for almost a year now and other products just do not come close! Having seven horses ranging in age from two all the way up to twenty-two it is wonderful nutrena makes a feed versitile for all ages of horses. Before using SafeChoice I experienced cases of colic and some of my horses were very hyper. Now my horses are calm and have not had any colic issues. Thank you Nutrena for making such an awesome feed!

Safechoice has been a blessing, I bought a beautiful one year old filly six years ago, I have tried every feed on the market, she would be jumping out of her skin one day the next tying up and falling to the ground, I was afraid I was going to have to put her down it was so bad, vets had all kinds of ideas then it was insulin resistance so I used lite feed then just oats and timothy hay than no hay, no feed on and on I was pulling my hair out. About six months ago I was at a local supply store I saw a sign for Nutrena and I thought it can't hurt, I have tried everything else. The very next day a different horse, my mare is happy no more jumping and bucking, I can ride her with out worrying she going to act out of control you have saved us. THANK YOU!! BOBBYE

I met Maci a 4 yr old Appy Feb 4 and knowing she was going to die where she was I bought her and brought her home on the 6th. She was very sick with sever rain rot and really infected feet. She was also anemic and about 500 lbs under weight. My vet said she was one of the worse cases of neglect he has ever seen and recommened Safe Choice for her slowly increasing it to 3 lbs 2x daily with some other supplements and all the grass hay she could eat. We have reached that amount and she has gained about 350 lbs. I named her Maci so nobody would ever forget the emciated state she was in. Although Safe Choice is a bit spendy I belive it is worth every dime we have paid for it. I look forward to many year and lots of miles together. Without Nutrena I would still be wait for these results.

I have two rescue horses that I have owned for approx. 4 yrs. One is on Safechoice and the other Life Design Senior. I have tried other feeds over the years and by far Nutrena's products have given my horses everything I am looking for in feed choice. My Senior horse is thriving and maintaining his weight, our new vet came out to do an exam and her comment was, "He looks amazing! Whatever you are doing don't change a thing, it is hard to believe he is 30!" My mare is an extremely easy keeper and Safechoice has been a wonderful addition for her. Their coats are gorgeous and glossy and their overall health and well-being I feel are testimony to your products. C. Oldberg Arizona

My horse was one of those stories, underfed, undernourished but with a loving owner who knew she could not longer keep him and keep him well. He's a 16.2, chestnut, TB gelding he was 13 years old when I purchased him & now he is 18. He arrived in the Fall of 04/05, very thin, very sensitive and very depressed. For 3 years I tried all sorts of 'stuff' to beef his weight up, he was at least 100 to 150 lbs underweight.I did gradually see some improvement not what I knew coulb be. At the time I was buying a Purina feed for $14 a bag & feeding him large amounts...to no avail. Then I wrote to Nutrena, got a call from my CNY area Rep she told me about SafeChoice and 3 months weight gain and no depression. He is at perfect weight and full of himself. Thank you for helping my guy come to life!

We have used Empower on 2 hard keepers now and just LOVE it. When we brought both the boys out this show season people thought they were totally new horses and couldn't believe the change. They gainned and hold weight and have the most beautiful healthy coats with no hair products on them! Even my daughter's trainer has started using Empower on his young stock.I have "before" and "after" pictures i would love to send you.

Product:
My family and I rescued two horses about 5 years ago. One being a Halflinger and the other a Draft. The halflinger has always been an easy keeper but our draft named Cheif has always been hard to keep weight on, it didn't help that he was 100 pounds under weight when we rescued him, and he is also very prone to colic. In the last 5 years that we have owned him he has coliced more than 10 ,yes 10, times! We had tried many differant feeds and none seemed to reduce him colicing or keep weight on him liked we had wished. we did find one that kept him from colicing as much but didn't keep his weight on. So we just recently switched over to SafeCoice about 6 months ago and i can gladly say that he has put on weight and has not coliced once since he has been on SafeCoice. love the product!

I wanted to contact your company to tell you how thrilled I am with your product, Empower! I train with Anne Gribbons (FEI "O" Judge, coach and Technical Delegate for the US Dressage Team) at Knoll Dressage in Chuluota, FL. When my Olympic hopeful horse developed a severe allergy to the ingredients in most feeds, we struggled to find a product that would help add weight and muscle as well as meet our high performance standards. We started him on Empower and noticed a difference within the first month! He is the shiniest horse in barn and even the farrier made a comment on how strong his hooves were. Each time I show him to Anne, she comments on his exceptional physical developement. It is such a relief to have a feed that I can count on for performance! Thank you so much!

I have owned my horses for approx. 6 years and had fed a different feed until about 8 months ago when a new feed store open less than 1/4 mile which was super close. I went to a seminar put on by them and decided it wouldn't hurt to try the safe choice and my horses are so thick, shiny and very healthy. They look better this year since began the Safe Choice than they have ever looked before. I would Highly recommend this feed... Whether it be for trail or speed events.

I run a horse rescue in Florida and we get some horses that are like skeltons. Within 3 months of feeding them Safe Choice as their primary feed, they gain weight and look great. When a horse is ready to go, I advertise the horse, and tell the new owners that I recommend they keep the horse on Safe Choice and most change their other horses over to it also. I am very happy with what Safe Choice has done for these horses. I will use nothing else. Thank you Nutrena!

Hey! Before I start I want to tell you that your feed is my favorite out of all the feeds I have tried. This is why. I had been riding an appaloosa for 2 years and I just recently bought him. He was on Seminole Pro-Plus 12 Pellet feed 1 scoop twice daily and 1 scoop twice daily of beet pulp. He is 12/13 years old and is a really easy keeper and all that feed just seemed to me like a waist. So the day I bought him and moved him to my place I began to switch him to Life Design Prime. After 3 months of ownership he is more active and twice a healthy!! A big plus is that he is only on one scoop a day and pasture! My feed expenses are no were near his last owners and he is a much happier horse. Thank you guys for making such a wonderful feed at great prices!

I have a two year old filly, and this spring she was tied up and hung back on the hitching rail. When she came lunging forward she hit the rail with her bottom jaw. The impact ripped all of her bottom teeth and tissue off the bone. The vet then did a two hour surgey on her jaw wiring the teeth and the tissue back on the bone. When I got her home we couldn't feed her hay because it would get caught in the wounds. I then found your equine senior product, and mixied it with warm water, to creat a mash. This has worked very well. It has been 8 weeks since the accident and my filly has made a full recovery. Thanks to your good feed it kept the wight on her and saved her life. Thanks for having a good product.

We were at a loss as to how to keep weight on our new quarter horse. Everything we tried would not last long so he was on a roller coaster of weight build up and loss. We were introduced to the owners of a stable near our home and agreed to bring our horse to them for a couple of months to see if we could get a handle on his problem. The owners said they used Safe Choice on some of their horses so we would start with that. When we took our horse there we taped him for weight and discovered that he was about 250lbs underweight from where they thought he should be. After the first six months he had put on about 140lbs. and was keeping it on. After a year he was at 240lbs. of weight gain and a very happy horse. They stable owners have now switched almost all of the barn over to Safe Choice.

I raise a few laying hens--not horses. When I purchased my first bags of grower mash from the nearby Cloverdale Feed and Farm Supply, I was puzzled with what to do with the bags the feed came in. No #5 PP recycling here. Not to worry. The bags made fine, light-duty tarp covering for the woodpile when opened up flat. Grain store saved some more for me. Noticed the material of a Trader Joe's shopping bag was similar. I soon found the PP fabric sewed up easily on my heavy-duty sewing machine. Voila! The Contoocook Tote bag was born. Now known as the Tooky Tote, the bags are seen locally in the grocery store and community center, and a few went to coastal ME and NH with family. New industry. Thanks.

I just wanted to tell my story about my 29 year old quarter horse mare Lucky. Two winters ago she started dropping weight really bad, I was thinking the worse was soon to happen. I went to my local TSC and bought Safechoice first at the time they did not carry Life Design. I told Frank at TSC Lucky is truly a success story for Nutrena feed. I have always kept my horses up to date on yearly shots, worming, trimming, even dental. The transformation was truly amazing. She has put back on at least 100#. I had to actually cut her back. She shines and acts like a two year old again, no joke. I rode her 3 days last fall on the trails and she almost ran me over to get into the trailer. Thank you for a great product, and I feel so blessed to have Lucky still with me.

I have 3 Quarter Horses and 1 pony. I have tried different name brand feeds giving each a year for results. 8 months ago I switched to SafeChoice. Coming out of the winter my horses have NEVER looked so good. Nothing else was changed, hay, feeding schedule, nor exercise. They all have a beautiful shine! Even my buttermilk buckskin, that I have had 9 years, shines wonderfully. Their whole bodies look better than ever! I will never change feed again. Totally Satisfied!
