Designed as a vitamin/mineral supplement for forage-only feeding programs and to balance the diets of horses fed non-fortified or small amounts of grain

  • Block form won’t “melt” when exposed to rain or high humidity

Feeding Instructions

Nutrena® EquiMin® Block is formulated to be the primary source of supplemental minerals, vitamins and salt to pastured horses when fed as recommended. Feed additional salt or electrolytes only to active horses to offset losses through perspiration.

Place Nutrena® EquiMin® Block in an area not exposed to heavy rainfall. Feed free choice in conjunction with good quality pasture or hay.

Provide clean, fresh water at all times. Monitor consumption of blocks closely to assure consumption does not exceed the following amounts: 

Recommended Consumption of Nutrena® EQUIMIN® 

Per Head Per Day 

Foal 1 to 2 ounces
Yearling / two-year old 2 to 3 ounces
Mature pony 2 to 3 ounces
Mature show or pleasure horse 3 to 4 ounces
Moderate to hard-working horse 3 to 5 ounces
Broodmare or stallion 4 to 5 ounces
Lactating mare 5 to 8 ounces

Continue to offer salt blocks for 3 to 5 days after introduction of Nutrena® EquiMin® Block. Remove salt blocks once intake of Nutrena® EquiMin® has stabilized.
